Life plays one big game with us

What if everything happens for a reason? And what are the rules of the game?

“We decide to spend our last night together in the wild. And as we leave the bustle of the city behind, I phantasies about how we could sleep comfortably on a mat that we don't have. As we walk down the mountain and cross an old bridge, we spot a mat in the river there. Is it waiting for us? In any case, it came in very handy at night. It seems as if the things we really need, come onto out path. Zoom out, and you could say the very same about the path of life. All you need to do this is trust the game.

The next morning, we part ways (for now), I walk back to the square in Santiago. There, I am reunited with fellow pilgrims I hold dear to heart, and I can't wait to meet an old friend of mine who also happens to be arriving in Santiago. All of a sudden, I start running. Not to the friend I expect, but one of my older friends! Ironically, he also 'coincidentally' walks the Camino. There, on the square in front of the cathedral in Santiago, I meet two of my friends within half an hour.

Ah, how life plays funny games with us sometimes. The more I trust in it, the more I seem to notice it. I conclude the first part of the journey here, a day full of reunions and goodbyes. And so, the second part begins, which I would experience completely differently…”
