Warm your body, mind, soul and gut flora.

The days are getting more autumn-like as it becomes more pleasant indoors. The extremes among us put on scarfs and hats (yup, that’s me), to save rising energy costs. And that's why I'm treating you to a recipe for a hot breakfast that your intestinal flora will love! Presenting porridge, to start your day in a right way.

* 1 pear, or other seasonal fruit
* 1 cup organic oatmeal
* ¾ cup water
* 1 handful of seeds and kernels, you can go as crazy as you like here. I make my own mixes of organic hemp seed, nettle seed, linseed, coconut flakes, goji berries, cranberries, raisins, nut mix (unroasted and unsalted), dried fruit and more.
* 1 ½ cup oat milk
* pinch of gingerbread spices, or more ;)
* pinch of cocoa powder, raw
* optionally 1 tsp honey, raw and organic

Cut your fruit into pieces and toss it into a pan along with everything except the honey. Heat and stir until (almost) boiling and spoon it into your bowl. If you please it, add the honey when the porridge has cooled down a bit. Stay warm and enjoy!

You can vary endlessly with the ingredients. Consider a savory porridge, so that you already get part of your vegetables in the morning.
