Phytoria

Q&A

Is Phytoria also concerned with negative effects of herbs?

Someone asked me a wonderful question, thank you for that! This person sees how I share many positive effects with you from various plants(parts). My goal is to make you, as a reader, more aware of the beautiful things that herbs can bring. And of course, to get you excited to use it more.

But am I in my work also concerned with the negative effects of herbs on an individual?

Yes, I do. Transparency is important to me. Being critical is essential in this and I take that seriously. Because although certain herbs help making our body stronger, they can have more effects than just the desired (body)area of action. This is equivalent to conventional drugs, when you think of side effects.

In my method I delve deeper into the effects of specific herbs, as far as known in science. Based on your question, I draw up a list of desired therapeutic effects. Subsequently, it is determined which plants (parts) are suitable for this; based on your personal data, medical history, supplement and drug use. Everything I outsource is checked in all areas, including interactions, contraindications and side effects. In addition, form of application and dosage play a role to e.g. minimize side effects. What makes my work extra fun is that I can also play with constituents that would normally cause side effects, yet not when dissolved in specific substances. For example, an herbal oil has different effects than a tea or infusion made of the same herb. This is because the solubility of constituents changes in lipids/fats, compared to water. In short, the Phytoria method is completely holistic, science-based and personalized for you.
